Seaweed, or macroalgae, refers to thousands of species of macroscopic, multicellular, marine algae. All these different species play a vital role in capturing carbon, producing at least 50% of Earth's oxygen. They are so important, and yet because most of it is unseen, hidden beneath the depths of our earthly bodies of water… we miss an important link in the ecological chain, that needs our awareness and protection.
This artwork has been lovingly made using hand made paper and collage elements, and layered with tiny detail over the top using acrylic paint and ink. All layers have been sealed using archival mediums.
This piece has been sealed with UV-Resistant varnish to perfectly protect the art for years to come.
